Fabulous Ideas - Wedding Edition #015

Menswear is getting a lot more attention at weddings than ever before and you don't always have to go with a traditional tux and bow tie. We are seeing more grooms wear a classic suit instead of a black tux and pairing it with a great colored tie to compliment the colors of the wedding.  We are also seeing men decide to wear some pretty fancy footwear to really change the look!  Check out these gorgeous shoes that this groom selected to wear with his suit!  It really tied in the whole classic look and stood out!

{Tiffany & Jeff} Engagement Session | May 2012

We had a gorgeous evening for our engagement session with Tiffany & Jeff and took full advantage of it!  We bopped around the park to different locations and then our couple pulled out a bottle of champagne, so we decided to lay down a blanket along the water and soak in all the views and great weather for a picnic theme shoot.  Being a shoe fan, I immediately noticed Tiffany's beautiful colored shoes with her simple, white spring dress and thought it was fitting for the warm weather.  Tiffany and Jeff's wedding is coming up in September at the beautiful Hyatt Cambridge and I'm hoping we have a repeat performance of this weather.  Thanks guys for an awesome time.  Enjoy some photos from our shoot.

Fabulous Ideas - Wedding Edition #014

Check this out....Are you a shoe fanatic? Well, this funky, creative centerpiece made out of a shoe is sure to add some drama to your wedding?  This would be a great conversation piece on the card table as guests enter your wedding or put it on the couples table so you can look at it all night long or better yet, have it at your bridal shower for a very unique display item.  If you are like me and love shoes, this is such a cool idea.  This particular design is based on flowers you would see in the tropics, such as the pineapple as the heel, but any design can be created to fit your style and taste.  Our friend Brad at Harrington Flowers is responsible for this creative use of two loves...flowers and shoes!  You can reach him at www.harringtonflowersllc.com. 

Harrington Flowers Shoe Arrangements Shoot

I stopped by Harrington Flowers to photograph some of Brad's shoe collection!  He was creating these funky and unique centerpieces for a woman's event and decided to create something that all woman love.....SHOES!  He also decorated a sewing form using flowers to create a unique dress concept using tons of large green leaves as the skirt of the dress and other decorative flowers and moss for the upper shirt part.  This large and exciting piece was used as the focal point as guests entered the event.  For more information on these creative designs, please contact our friends over at Harrington Flowers (www.harringtonflowersllc.com).  Enjoy

Engagement Sessions are a perfect way to get more comfortable in front of the camera and working with your photographer before the big day. I love how my couple, Lorena & Gabriel decided on dressing up and picking a great location.  Gorgeous couple, elegantly dressed up with great city views as their backdrop on a beautiful evening....enough said.

Cupcakes instead of your typical wedding cake is not only adorable, but quirky and fun.   My couple Matt & Melissa had several different flavors of cupcakes on display throughout the reception and guests went up and grabbed whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted.  Makes a great snack after a night of dancing.
